Programes of Fresh Nepal
We know that the population of women in Nepal is higher than that of men. Women have been deprived of rights because of ancient traditions and culture. To change the out-dated traditional views of women in society we have been helping widows, the disabled and poor women to read and write.
We have been working specifically in the Darchula district as well as in Lalitpur. The Women’s Literacy Program (WLP) of Fresh Nepal generally goes on for six months. By helping the women to read and write and drawing their attention to the harmful aspects of traditional society - we can help them avoid many hardships.
| We also help women in public speaking so that they can communicate in front of a large audience. We have coordinated with a local NGO in Lalitpur to help women in the district of Darchula to work in a carpet factory. This is being run under the WLP of Fresh Nepal. Programs such as these will help remove common harmful misconceptions of women in society. We hope that with the training they receive they will be able to become independent members of society. |

Future Programes of Fresh Nepal
We hope to look after up to 100 orphaned and abandoned children in need. This would only be possible if we get ongoing sponsors for the children and women being supported by the organization. We would also like to sponsor the education of children via scholarships in the rural and hilly regions of Nepal.
We currently look after 17 orphaned and abandoned children, it is our hope to be able to purchase land and establish a permanent residence for these children in Kathmandu.
We would also like to launch programs that are economically beneficial to the children as well as the women. Nationally we want to start a women's literacy program in different areas of the country. We will also launch community learning centers and health education centers for women and children once we have the necessary funding.
